New version sucks! HELP

I want version 0.8.2 back. where can i get it????
when i drag files into the new player, nothing shows up in the playlist. wtf?
they play, and it says 20 files or whatever, but no listing. lame. is there a fix, or can i get the old version back somewhere?

i'm running a ppc g5 mac with tiger

You should be able to get 0.8.6i from our download page.

You need to reset the preferences using the provided script.

Or you'll have to wait for 0.9.3 scheduled for next week.

I sooo totally agree. Don't get me wrong, I love VLC as much as the next guy, and the new codec support etc is great, but WHY did you have to mess with the interface??? It seems to me that people change stuff for the sake of change. Why mess with perfection? I hate the new full screen pop up controller and the new look in general - it's plain ugly!. Simplicity is the key to beauty and the new version just don't do it for me. I am also having playback issues, jerky frames, vision starting 5 seconds after audio (if I hit back it plays properly the second time) as well as various other issues. Sincere thanks, but no thanks. I too will be reverting to the previous version.

there is no ui changes in 0.9... The fullscreen controller has been around for 3 years or so. Note, you are not forced to update to the latest version.

Hi I have a problem with the new version, whenever in fullscreen mode the control bar at the bottom keeps popping back into view and wont stay gone. Is this a bug or is there a setting ive overlooked to make it stay hidden when the mouse is not being moved?

Fixed for Windows/Qt4 interface in 0.9.3+ AFAIK. What version are you using? 0.9.4 is released:

The playlist doesn't work at all...
I try to drag a file onto it and it just shows me a red x.

This is possibly the most abrupt and disturbing derailing of a great product I have seen...
