Quartz Video

Postby guruff » 20 Jan 2006 09:19

Hello.
I have asked before which video output is more fluent/quicker/better/etc.
I have been told that default video output which is open gl is faster, which not not the case for me. I can see clearly more fluent video playback when using quartz - so what is the story here?

I depends on your Graphics card. OpenGL should be more optimized generally, but it appears that since tiger on some systems Quartz is actually better optimized.

There is no definitive way to say which one is faster for who.
