VLC not playing video on my external hard drive

Hello !

I got a brand new external hard drive and I decided to transfer some videos on it. I previously made sure the external hard drive is compatible with my mac (its system is mac os extended journaled case sensitive)
I copy-pasted a few videos on it and some works just fine, but for some reasons, a few videos won't work with vlc (or even quicktime player tbvh)
It works just fine on my mac desktop but once i copy the video on my external hard drive, it just won't work anymore and te time gets stuck to 00:00


Does anyone ever had the same issues ???
