Remove file name from bottom of video

Hi , I know there have been other posts on this subject but I cannot find the answer that works for me. I am on IMAC and the video in question was produced in I Phone 7 plus.

I do not have options of media, so this answer didn't work for me.

The subtitles feature does not include the option to remove the titles

I have no advanced features showing in Video menu.

I have downloaded VLC just today, so I think it is totally new. Please can someone help me to remove the file extension from the bottom of the video? Many thanks.

I am a bit confused what exactly you are trying to do? Do you want VLC to stop displaying the video filename when you start to play it?

That is what I want to do, remove the file name at the start of playback
