Cursor doesn't disappear when in full screen and switching back to VLC

Postby Gary King » 18 Sep 2018 04:06

If I put VLC on Mac in full screen, then cmd-tab to another app, then cmd-tab back to VLC, then the cursor does not disappear until I move it and make the controls appear, upon which after 1 second both the controls and cursor will disappear, as expected.

Is it possible to make the cursor disappear immediately when I cmd-tab to VLC in full screen? Perhaps make the controls appear whenever I cmd-tab to VLC, which will then disappear along with the cursor after 1 second?

+1 i agree it is annoying. i don't recall 2.2.8 behaving this way.

also, if you command+` to switch between the playlist window and video window, the fullscreen controller disappears in the video window until you exit and re-enter fullscreen again.
