How to activate/increase logging level

Postby jolene_s » 28 Jun 2018 15:33

Something is causing VLC to launch immediately upon logon and be hidden; but it is not any of the usual or obvious suspects. (I'm a fairly seasoned Mac user so I have a decent idea of where to look; however, this is elusive.
The simplest solution would be to have VLC log each time it is launched and what triggered or launched it, because nothing is showing up in the console.
Perhaps this is not possible/feasible; but hopefully someone will be kind enough to give me some pointers.

Thank you so much!

(MacOS 10.10.5, VLC 3.0.3)

Set verbosity 2. and then use the logger and log to file.
