VLC 0.8.4A on G3 beige OX 10.2.8

I have just installed VLC 0.8.4a on my old G3 beige with OS X 10.2.8.
But it doesn't work : is this version compatible with my G3 ?
No problem on my Titanium.

Do you get any error messages? have you tried to delete your prefs?
