Video passthrough for 3D?

I am just getting into 3D video with my Epson 3700 projector. I have a 3D file from a Blu-ray disc that I bought for testing purposes. In my investigations, it seems that the video (h.264 MVC) needs to be passed through to the projector for decoding. Does VLC 3 have the ability to passthrough video (as it can for audio)? I am using an HDMI 1.4 compliant set-up (HDMI 1.4 i5 Sandy Bridge, HDMI 2.0 cable and projector).
