Video completely crushed

I have a video in 16/9, but vlc plays it in 4/3 and so it is completely crushed !
In MPlayer I can choose the aspect ratio and so view it correctly, but there is not such a menu in VLC .....

I can choose to strech picture in the preferences, but after I have to do it manually ! Not very efficient ... And with such an option, impossible to play it in full screen ...

VLC is lacking of a very very important feature there ....

That's going to come in a future version. It does already exist on Windows/Linux.
