Play WMA/WMV using Flip4Mac plug-in

Postby M-Rick » 18 Dec 2005 16:22

Would it be possible to have the posibility to play WMA/WMV contents with a Flip4Mac plug-in auto-detect feature ?
That would be very great.

Such a thing will come once an OSX-developer got the time to implement the usage of QT-plugins, but I don't think that this is going to happen in the next couple of months. I guess that only if one of us gets a commercial order to do so, this is actually going to be done.
Sorry for that negative response.

BTW. The ffmpeg people keep working on a free VC1-decoder, so it might be possible to play WMV3-files without WMP or QT-plugins in a few months, although I won't promise any period of time until such a release.
