Vic-2.2.4.dmg won't open on my mac OSX

Hi there,
I have downloaded the media player VLC Vic-2.2.4.dmg file. It won't open, there's no image on the icon when I click on it. I downloaded it from your official site, is there something I'm missing here?. I have a macbook air El Capitain . I'm not very technical , so apologies in advance if I've missed something obvious

Maybe your file was corrupt. Can you give your mirror which you used to download? You can see the logo on the top right side of the downloading page.

Otherwise, maybe your download was not finished or you did not do a double click to open the dmg file.

How large is the downloaded disk image (it should be 37.4 MB)? What browser are you downloading with?


Also, if you are familiar with checksums, the SHA-1 checksum should be 60f52a2dc451f5d3b9f088b57877df557d3c5aaf.

Hello. I'm having exactly the same problem... I can't download the dmg file neither from your site or through VLC. It freezes at 16 MB. This happens with both Safari and Chrome, even after I've deleted all cookies and history that might interfere with the process. I'm stuck at version 2.2.1.
Please help!
