Play - Pause file

Postby Daniquito » 25 Jun 2016 21:23

HI, I'm on Mac with VLC v2.2.4. Does VLC create a temporary file when clicking on pause while watching my tv streams and if yes where's the path of this file?
Thanks

I believe it depends on the codec being used and communication protocol for the stream. I don't believe there is a one size fits all answer that you are looking for.

No, generally VLC does not create temporary files for streams. All data is kept / buffered in volatile memory.
