Hello and thank you. To view 4K material on my macbook pro, there us annoying stuttering. Is there a workaround? I The clips are .mxf files. Thank you for your help!
The macbook pro = Processor - 2 GHZ Intel Core i7, Memory - 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, and software is OSX 10.8.5 (12F2560)
The VLC interface looks like this, under Input/Codecs:
Record directory or filename:

Edit detault application settings for network protocols
Caching:
Default Cashing Level (Normal), other options are ("Custom", then "lowest latency" to "highest latency", several levels of...)
Codecs/Muxers:
Hardware Acceleration (Automatic), other options are ("Video Decode Acceleration Framework VDA", and "Disable")… "DxVA" is not on the list of choices.
Post-Processing Quality is currently set at ( "6" )
Repair AVI files is currently set at ("Ask for action")
(blank check box) Use RTP over RTSP (TCP)
Skip the loop filter for H.264 decoding, currently set at ("None"), other options are ("Non-ref, Bidir, Non-key, All")
(CHECKED BOX) Preload MKV files in the same directory.
