I had a video on my external hard drive that I saved into my movies on my computer. The film was rubbish, so I deleted it.
However, now when I try to click on my videos I the sidebar, it keeps going onto the video. When I click onto reveal in Finder, it opens up my movies.
I've tried showing hidden files. But there are no hidden films. What can I do to stop this? It's been over a year since this problem started.

Is this issue happening on a Mac? What OS version? What VLC version? Sidebar of Finder, VLC?
Providing logs, messages, configuration info (VLC, OS, Hardware) and a clear explanation of the issue always helps the problem solvers help you, even if they don't end up solving the issue.
