Video freezes during playback

Hi!
Ive got such problem. During playback almoust every .avi films freezes with wihte screen and then picture begin restoring in rectangles. Here the sreenshots.
Is anyone could help me please?

This should be better in version 2.2 already (updated?) and even better in the forthcoming 3.0 release, which is currently available as unstable nightly builds only (see Nightly Build of VLC).

I am using last stable 2.2.1.

I have reported this problem before and so have others but there doesn't seem to be much interest in the problem beyond asking what version of VLC is being used.

Well, if the issue still occurs in current 2.2 and 3.0 nightly builds, we need access to a sample file.

We did not manage to reproduce this issue with current versions of VLC.

Btw. VLC 2.2.2 will be out shortly, matching the state of the current 2.2 nightly builds (but with updated decoders, which are not part of the nightlies yet).

I just downloaded 2.2.2 and the first video I tried playing broke up after just 15 seconds.

Well.
Using version 3 seems fixed my problem.
