DAB can't see VLC on my Mac

I've downloaded VLC 2.2.1 on my iMac os 10.7.5. I'm trying to play my music from the Mac on my DAB radio (Pure Oasis from 2010). When my DAB serches for media server, it can't see the vlc. Is there something I should be doing? Thanks in advance.

VLC is not a media server. VLC itself can search for media servers and use them but it can't act as a media server itself.
