VLC on iMac vs Xbox One

i just purchased dumb and dumber to. i did a side by side comparison. i ripped the bluray to my mac using makemkv, i left the file untouched. playing the mkv file using VLC and playing the movie on Xbox one, switching between inputs playing the same scene, i noticed that the image is just slightly smoother on the xbox one as compared to the iMac running VLC (same quality HDMI for both sources of course). if anyone could comment or help me tweak my VLC setting to get the best image i would greatly appreciate it


PS this is just for a possible tweak and education. I LOVE VLC AND WILL USE FOREVER!!!!!!
