A way to adjust player buffer?

Postby cubytus » 27 Jan 2014 03:20

Hi there,

I am regularly using VLC to play files stored elsewhere on the LAN, but the wireless isn't very fast and as a result, high definition, very animated movies tend to stutter. To alleviate this problem, is there a setting I could change in VLC to use a larger buffer, say, a 15s one?

In case you are talking about VLC for iOS, it will receive such an option in the next update. On the Mac, it was present for years already. Check the preferences :)
