CMD-TAB freezes Finder if used after hiding VLC

Postby Gary King » 25 Nov 2013 18:51

Sometimes when I'm watching a VLC video, I want to switch to my browser to check on something. So I use CMD-H to hide VLC then CMD-TAB to switch to Firefox. However, if I bring up CMD-TAB while the dock is still re-appearing from unhiding VLC, then Finder freezes for a few seconds.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is this a VLC problem, or a wider Mac OS X Mavericks (the latest OS) problem? I'm guessing it's a Mavericks problem, but it also seems to be due to the way that VLC has changed its full-screen method. I'm using the VLC full-screen method rather than the native one, and still, I don't recall the dock needing to re-appear after unhiding VLC, until I upgraded to Mavericks.
