song title missing in VLC 2.2.0 and 2.1.x

Postby eg320 » 16 Nov 2013 01:28

I've been using VLC for most everything over the years, and just started having problem on MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks running VLC nightly version 2.2.0, and also most other 2.1.x versions.

For some reason I now don't have song titles or any other information displayed in the playlist, and have tried uninstalling and re-installing VLC, and different menus and sub menus to no avail. Right clicking shows the title greyed out and not able to change, and if I check other info boxes nothing shows up on playlist. The VLC player plays just fine......just no playlist. I've also tried other nightly versions, plus normal 2.1.x versions. Still no info in playlist. Would like to fix the problem so I can use VLC for music playback but I'm out of ideas.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Delete your Preferences and restart your System afterwards. It should fix this. See also https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... 67#p390967
