5.1 to stereo mixdown

Postby tonybeatle » 18 Oct 2013 08:51

I have a video that has 5.1 audio. I have the latest VLC as of Oct. 17. When I play the video I am only getting the surround channels and I can not hear any of the main vocals. VLC is outputting the audio to a TASCAM US-1800. When I play the audio from the speakers on my MAC the audio is fine. Is there a way to mixdown 5.1 to stereo?

TASCAM device are a bit weird. You should be able to set the number of channels in preferences.

Can you share the logs, please?
