VLC IOS to play from Home Wifi LAN

Hello,

Please advise how can i play media files from HDD connected to my Airport Extreme over Wifi? Please help.
I am using Ipad and Iphone. I am not able to understand UpNp and NAS etc.

Unless you can configure the airport express to share the hDD via UPNP or FTP you cant.

Suggest you read up on UPNP and FTP as you will need to understand it if you want to use it.
