How to get the total duration of a playlist?

For instance, say I select 10 mp3's and open them in VLC, and I want to know what the total duration for all of them combined would be. Any ideas? :?: :?:

There is no such automatic calculator in VLC at present. After opening 10 files, you can see the individual playback time of each file, but not the combined time.

Any chance this feature being implemented? I realize this was asked in 2010.. but perhaps there is time to have this added?
