Playlist items are not highlighted when scrolling down

I've noticed that in VLC 2.0.5 (on OSX 10.6.8 ) when I scroll down my playlist, any items after the first screen aren't highlighted. This is annoying because if I want to remove items from my playlist, I have no idea which ones are selected. Is this a bug?

How did you select the items?

Cmd + A selects all items for me.
