How to change a video title (metadata)

Hello,

On Mac, any chance to change a video title via metadata window in VLC (reading .mkv file for instant) ?

I have the same question on PC (on which I could change the video title in the title bar, but not for the media player when you play a video full screen and when you launch the video...).

I have read these topics (here and here) but the problem still remains...

vlc won't rewritte the metadata in your mkv. If you want to do that you have to use other tools like mkvmerge.
