trouble playing h 264 10-bit

Postby Edu_281 » 18 Jul 2012 13:43

Hello to all forum members, I have problems playing mkv files 10 bit and you eat some letters of the phrases in the subtitles when the video leads thus can not understand the writing on the subtitle you have to decipher.

You can fix this problem?

thanks

I don't understand your problem.
Do you have general problems with 10bits H264 and uncorrelated subtitles problems or just subtitles problems when playing 10bits H264 ?

You'll have to be more specific about this part: "eat some letters of the phrases in the subtitles when the video leads"
Are those letters not displayed? replaced by rectangles? displayed incompletely? and what do you mean by "video leads"?

With the video image there is no problem but the subtitles do not leave any part incomplete without the subtitle, that is if the sentence says that's new in the player would come out of new or qehy

Do any of the missing characters include accents? Also, are the subtitles embedded or being read from a subtitle file?
Providing logs, messages, configuration info (VLC, OS, Hardware) and a clear explanation of the issue always helps the problem solvers help you, even if they don't end up solving the issue. Just think what you would need if you were solving someone else's problem. Additional: Always looking for eager and capable MacOS X developers to join the VLC team - for more information see here.
