Video stuttering

Postby bushfilm47 » 01 Aug 2005 21:47

I just downloaded VLC into a G3 laptop which used to play DVD's just fine back when I used OS9.2, now after installing OS Jaguar, and VLC, the video plays back, but stutters badly. What do I do to fix this? Thanks!

Video played from DVD on Apple G3 Lombard stutters. Didn't do this when I used OS9.2, only after upgrade to Jaguar. How do I fix this?

Go back to Mac OS 9.2 (Seriously. These laptops were to slow to decode DVD in CPU, and used a hardware decoder on the motherboard. However OSX won't allow you access to that anymore (doesn't have a driver for it). So with OSX you are no longer able to play DVDs)

Stuttering DVD's

I have a card which mounts in side of computer that is a DVD-ROM module by VST, is this the hardware decoder you are referring to? Can I partition my hard drive and have both operating systems on same computer? Thanks!
