Weird movie subtitle issue

Postby Jbs89 » 23 Jun 2012 22:08

Subtitles as part of a movie, like Star Wars, won't show. I have to use the subtitles for the entire movie just to read the part of movie subtitles.

So far has happened on mp4 that won't run in QuickTime and mkv

I cannot understand what is the problem.
VLC doesn't show the subtitles at all?
Or VLC doesn't show the subtitles as you expected?

Also we want the following information:
- screenshots (If VLC doesn't show the subtitles properly)
- file information (especially what type of subtitles)
- log (Window -> Messages)

I mean there's no subtitles in movies that should have them as part of the film. Not extra subtitles. Screen shot won't help

Anyway, please provide the file information.

Did you play the video with no external subtitles file?
Can other players (e.g. MPlayerX or so) show the subtitles properly?
