VLC Crashes when I try to open a FLV file

I've seen that there is another post with the same problem, This is why I've edited it. Sorry for posting it again.

my VLC 2.0.1 crashes without any message everytime I try to open any FLV file or any other video format. since I've upgraded to OS X 1.7.4. My Mac is a Mac Mini server 2011 edition with a Core i7 and 16 gb of memory.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, try reinstall the latest VLC version on your Mac, if still have problem on playing videos, think you'd better convert the flv to mov to play with QuickTime Player.
