Problem with playing DVD

Postby Martin4000 » 02 Aug 2005 16:54

Hi!
Im a victim:
Using a powerbook, bought fall last year with a MATSHITA CD-RW CW-812 drive.
I have been playing all my dvds using apples own program. Until I only had 2 changes left, --please stay polite--! I started looking around for other ways, and found that VLC could play dvds as well. Superb!
The problem is that a don't get any picture (only audio) playing my region 2 dvds. I'm pretty sure that region 1 is working out fine. I have tested changing the visaul settings in the output module - no changes. I have also tested old versions of VLC, back to 0.5 nothing is working.

The apple dvd player is set to region 1, and when I'm trying to change that a get "fel: -70001" (fel, swedish for error).

There MOST be a way around this. This is for the moment my only dvd player. So the only way I can watch my movies is by downloading them.

Yes :D
Aren't you so happy with the movie industry from blocking you watching the movie you legally bought??? Big reason to justify piracy if you ask me. Idiots
