It's a huge hassle trying to submit a bug report, thus the below:
Crashing bug when drag-and-dropping CD onto the media window. Audio files can be opened directly from the FILE menu when a CD is inserted in the optical drive, but CDs crash without fail when openning from the player drag-and-drop window is attempted.

this is a known issue in VLC 2.0.1 for Mac. It is already fixed for 2.0.2, which should be published next week
