Limited Controller Functionality & Non-working Key Shortcuts

All versions of VLC for OSX from v1.1.12 through v2.0.1 no longer have full controller functionality in full screen or partial screen mode. Only the volume <) |==========O===| <))), playback slider controller |=======O=======| and full/partial screen buttons work. Unfortunately, Play >, Pause II, Fwd >>, Rewind <<, Go to beginning |<<, and Go to next video >>| buttons are not functioning at all. Also, all shortcut keys are non-functioning in any screen mode. Changing the key shortcuts in preferences changed nothing. I currently use VLC v1.0.5 and all functionality works as expected. I did not try any versions between v1.0.5 and v1.1.12 so I am not exactly sure which version actually caused these new issues. I've installed/removed/cleared .plists/reinstalled VLC and nothing has helped.

I'm using VLC on several PPC G4 macs all running OS X 10.5.8. All have the same problems with the newer versions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This is due to a corrupted preferences file, which will be automatically fixed by the forthcoming 2.0.2 release.

For the meantime, quit VLC, go to ~/Library/Preferences and delete the folder "org.videolan.vlc". Afterwards, it should be working nicely!

Hi - can you explain to me how I can find "org.videolan.vlc" folder in ~/Library/Preferences? I am using Mac OS X version 10.6.8 and VLC 2.0.1 I am having difficulty using the position bar to rewind and fast forward. When I do that I can't press play to get it to start playing right away (instead there is a ~1 min delay before it starts playing). I am using high definition .mov files. Thanks!
