Remembering deinterlacing preferences

Postby jsd » 04 Apr 2012 02:00

I would like the Video -> Deinterlace setting to come up as "Automatic" whenever I launch VLC. I can't seem to find a preference that controls this. Does one exist?

Preferences -> Show All -> Video
- Deinterlace
- Deinterlace mode

To find the setting, you have to scroll down on the preference page.

EDIT:
IMHO, "auto" often misses even if the video is interlaced. So, I set "off" to Deinterlace and set my favorite deninterlacer to Deinterlace mode. When playing an interlaced video, press "D" (Shortcut key for enabling/disabling Deinterlace).
