Crop / Aspect ratio problem in VLC 2.0.1

I recently downloaded the last update for VLC, and now I run the 2.0.1 version on my macbook pro (Snow Leopard 10.6.8).

I noticed that the function "Crop" doesn't seem to work anymore. If I access it from the Video menu or by pressing the C key, VLC doesn't actually crop the video anymore, but it changes the aspect ratio instead, just like when I press the A key or use the aspect ratio commands in the Video menu.

Please solve this issue in the next update, or help me solve this problem, thanks!

Under 2.0.1, crop should be slightly different than 2.0. It's still not 100% fixed since it still changes the aspect slightly in some cases when it shouldn't, but 2.0.1 is cropping some now. Time just ran out on the full fix for the 2.0.1 release.

I'm also experiencing this issue on my Mac; whenever I crop a standard 16x9 or 4:3 video to any other aspect ratio, it literally squeezes or stretches the image; no actual cropping occurs. Hopefully the next patch/update will fix this issue.

I've had the same problem (on VLC 2.0.1, Snow Leopard 10.6.8), and it's quite frustrating. However, I have noticed that if I choose a crop ratio, and THEN reset the aspect ratio to 'default', the proper aspect ratio returns and the video is cropped as I expect it to be.

A little workaround... still, would be nice to see crop behaving correctly again.
