Nightly with working HLS playback support?

Is there a nightly 1.2 build available with HTTP Live Streaming playback support working? The thread at <viewtopic.php?f=2&t=87216> says that vlc-1.2.0-git-20100428 works, but I can't seem to find a download from that long ago. None of the recent builds work (and I don't know enough to figure out why; opening up the messages panel at the relevant time causes the app to crash.)

Tried a current nightly build from nightlies.videolan.org?

VLC 1.3.0-git-20111205-0004 is not working yet.
The only version I could see working is 1.1.11 by sfr.

SFR did not merge their patches in 1.2.0
