VLC is not obeying auto-playback setting

Postby Zulithe » 24 Nov 2011 13:52

I found this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=90614

but this setting is not working anymore. Double-clicking a video in the finder adds it to the playlist, and does not automatically play the item, even when "Auto-playback of new items" is checked.

I want to double-click videos in the finder and have them play automatically. Adding them to a queue is really useless, who browses videos in his manner? Please fix.

YES I already deleted all my vlc settings from my preferences folder.

using: Mac OSX Lion 10.7.2, VLC Version 1.2.0-pre1 Twoflower (Intel 64bit) (nightly build from this morning)

as an aside, Browsing through the bug list I notice a lot of VLC features and settings are not working correctly on Mac, for example forcing video HxW output. I emplore the VLC developers to take more interest in the Mac platform as we do not have a lot of (good) media player options. What I would not give to have MPC or GOM or PotPlayer on my Mac :(
