Error with 10.7.2

When using vlc 1.1.12 with Lion and attempting to play retail discs, I get this message in Activity Log

No..

Its not region, but i jumped to the fact it could have been to scratches on the disc.

I'm actually starting to wonder weather this is an Apple issue. as I used VLC fine before upgrading to 10.7.1.

I'm starting to wonder weather this is an Apple related they took out.
