is there a way to remove the titlebar and window border?

Postby kleznik » 21 Oct 2011 13:52

Hi folks.

There are times that I wish to watch a movie in a window while working, but I would prefer to remove all graphical elements other than the video itself. Is it possible to play without any titlebar or borders, similar to the way quicktime player works?

Thanks.

you can try the video filter in extended controls
Window --> Extended Controls or CMD+E
Select Video Filter from the dropdown menu and activate Image clone under General editing filters
A second window without borders should appear showing the same video. Minimize your other video / windows and you have a single borderless video window.

However I think you can't resize the clone; it will show the video in its original size.

Thanks for the tip. It's a good compromise.

Shouldn't command F make it go full screen? It works for me. Make sure in Preferences the box "Show Fullscreen Controller" is checked. You can also play with checking the "Use the native fullscreen mode on OS X Lion" box, but i don't use it.
