Disable Playlists?

Postby NocturnalTheory » 20 May 2011 09:54

When I double-click a song or a video, I just want it to play, not add it to the bottom of a playlist. I see no option for this. I can do crazy stuff like tweak the demuxer settings and mess with SSE3 support, yet VLC can't do something basic like play a file instead of enqueuing it??

Make sure the "Auto-playback of new items" option in Interface -> Main Interface -> macosx within the full preferences ("All" instead of "Basic") is checked. In fact, this should be the default behavior.

Beautiful! Thanks so much for that. I didn't expect it to be buried under the Interface menu. I was thinking the Playlist menu... I really appreciate it.
