Buttons don´t work anymore

My newest version of VLC don´t allow for pausing, or stopping a song currently playing. The buttons just don´t work - unless I hold them in. Which is kinda silly. And I mean _holding them in_. I have to HOLD the pause button in, to pause the song, or else it just keeps on playing.

Also, closing the program does not work. When closing, it does not close, untill I click the icon on the dock again, to normally reopen it. THEN it closes.

Can you fix this thing soon?
I can´t pause my songs.

try resetting all your hotkeys to the default. I had the same problem after trying to set a jump value in the advanced hotkey settings page.
