VLC 1.0.5 and 1.1.0 RC both stutter on a .rm file. Mplayer OSX Extended rev14-test2 plays the file back smoothly, while admittedly having slight pixelating-like aliasing problems.
Stuttering happens both in fullscreen and windowed. The file itself shouldn't be that tough, 424x240 24fps, around 700kb/s. CPU usage for VLC shows around 20%. The stuttering gives the video a 6fps feel, while I think more frames are drawn. The drawing speed just isn't constant.
Memory Mapping didn't affect the result, suggested here:

The problem is there only on .rm files. Avi, mpeg, mp4, mov, wmv, asf, etc play back just fine. What should I try next? Or is this a bug in VLC?
