hello, for some peculiar reason, whenever i try playing any xvid or divix encoded videos i only get sound but no vision. is there anything i can do to fix this issue? btw i'm on mac with leopard 10.5.7

ok that did it thanks (but not if you select 'Core Animation OpenGl Layer (Mac OS X))@willwinuk: This should work in your OS build, but make sure that you remove VLC's preferences completely. Delete both org.videolan.vlc.plist and a folder called "VLC" in ~/Library/Preferences. If it doesn't help, give the kind of Mac you're using and its graphics card here please.
@loardbath: Just delete your prefs please (see above).
Could you provide the Mac model and video card being used?unfortunately there is no such directory nor file, so what do you suggest i do now?
Uh is it a Mac mini, iMac, MacPro, etc and what was the release year of the model? The more information you provide us the more we can help you.it's 10.5.7, and my graphics card is standard vesa
