Subtitles: advanced settings

Postby elaficionado » 23 Dec 2008 17:54

hi, i do not know if this is the right place for this, but seems to be so:

relevant specs:
VLC 0.9.8a / OSX 10.5.5

question:
not very pleased with the default rendering of subtitles in the current version (that "halo" effect drives me nuts), i tried to set things up like i used to in older versions (yellow type, background effect). it all goes well, but when i try to play a file the subs display following the "basic" settings ... what am i doing wrong? has this something to do with the quartz renderer? i'd love to have the subs display the way they do with perlan in QT, but QT doesn't seems to be able to handle multiple audio streams or multiple .srt files. is this a known issue? help?

thanks!

I'm still using VLC 0.8.6 for this very reason.
