opengl warning: could not lock OpenGL provider

Postby elhoyos » 14 Oct 2008 03:01

I'm using 0.9.4. When playing videos on VLC nothing is showed.

Messages console states several times: "opengl warning: could not lock OpenGL provider".

Any thoughts?

Your computer does not have Quartz Extreme. All macs without Quartz Extreme are no longer supported after 0.9.2
Don't use PMs for support questions.

I see the same error message but believe I have Quartz Extreme, which I thought was introduced with Jaguar (10.2).

I'm running Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.11) on a Power Mac G5 2x2.3GHz with an NVIDIA GeForce 6600.

Are you saying that my Mac does not support Quartz Extreme in this configuration?
Would you happen to know which Macs do support this system?

Thx.
