OK, so whats uo with VLC and MKV files? They stutter and go blocky. That was the old problem.
Now I am having issues accessing the files over the network. When I try to open a file the screen comes up blank (black) for a few seconds and then closes itself. Sometimes it will crash VLC. If I open up the error dialog box it shows VLC is trying to open a whole bunch of other MKV files in the same directory and error out. I think this is whats causing my issues. If I open the file on a local drive it opens and plays fine. But it is still scanning all the other MKV files. The Error dialog is littered with messages like this:
File reading failed
VLC could not open the file "/Volumes/Ahoge/Special_A_-_24_[h264.aac][Osu(speed)!].mkv".
And the message dialog is overrun with:
main debug: removing module "access_file"
main debug: removing module "access_file"
main debug: removing module "access_file"
main debug: removing module "access_file"
main debug: removing module "access_file"
main debug: removing module "access_file"
main debug: removing module "access_file"
message warning: message queue overflowed
HELP! I really dont want to go back to using MPlayer!
