How do I permanently disable the controller window?

Postby arnoldlayne » 06 Apr 2008 05:19

This window is driving me completely insane and I cant figure out how to disable it by default. Is it possible? It wouldnt annoy me so bad if it didnt stay on top of the video window. It serves no purpose at all since all the controls are more easily accessible on the video window.

Also is it possible to disable the error window? Why do I care if a file has any errors as long as it keeps playing? its not like I can do anything about them.

There is a "macosx-fspanel" in the configuration, named "Show Fullscreen controller".

This is the most I know.

that just disables the controls when in fullscreen mode, I want to get rid of the floating controller window that is there when it opens. I have to close it every time I open a movie file because it really gets in the way. Plus sometimes the file has errors and I have to close the error window too, after a few files it feels like being attacked by popups at website.

After downloading the new version it seems the controller isnt always on top even when it doesnt have focus anymore, so I guess I can ignore it. It would still be nice to disable that thing, I dont remember it opening all the time in Windows like it does in OS X.

Do you ever find a solution for this? I'd like to get rid of it too (I tried unchecking Show Fullscreen Controller but it didn't have any effect.)

I'm still looking for a way to do this myself, if anyone has found out how.
