fullscreen on ext screen???

hi, i used to do that all the time early this year, before the vacations start
just drag the video window to the ext screen, then double click on the video and it goes to fullscreen on the ext. and i was still able do other stuff on my mbp's screen
but now i can't do this anymore, i have the "i" version and 10.5.4
now it only shows the fullscreen on the mbp's screen
i know i can just click green to max window but it leaves two bright stripes up and down


need a fix help please

there is an option in "video-video device" where you can choose which of the connected devices you can use for full screen playback.
Should better read help instead of asking such things here
