No SAP announcements received in 0.9.0-git nightly 20080521

It would appear that something is broken with the latest 0.9.0 nightly release (20080521) vlc-git-intel-20080521-0122.zip that is available. I'm running it on OS X 10.4.11 and see no SAP announcements at all. If I run 0.8.6.f on the same machine I see all the SAP announcements I'm expecting.

I checked that SAP Annoucements is checked under File/Services Discovery.

I'm not found anything about this specific bug in Trac. Anyone else having this issue?

I noticed that 0.9.0 doesn't appear to fallback to IPv4 in the same way 0.8.6f does so. I suspect the issue may be coming from there but can't confirm it.

So I've just tested SAP on IPv4 networks with vlc-git-intel-20080813-0048 and vlc-git-intel-20080814-0437 nightlies and it appears to be working again. Thanks for fixing this.

If i use version 0.8.6h i have no problem finding and playing the streams.

The settings for SAP (Playlist -> Services discovery -> SAP) are the same in all tested versions.
The Firewall seems to have no influence. (even shutting it off doesn't help)
In the message window it says "sap debug: missing SDP originator" (google didn't yield anything)

The system is OS X 10.5.4 on Intel

In between testing did you make sure you deleted your preferences file? I noticed that it did make a difference to get it to work even between nightly builds. Still working for me using vlc-git-intel-20080825-0047

Still got the problem. I tried with the official 0.9.2.
I removed the old version and the Library/Preferences/VLC folder before installing the new version.
Still nothing. After removing the new version and installing the old one (0.8.6h) everything is back to normal.
System is now 10.5.5.

It means that VLC didn't find the o= line in the SDP. If you can find a sample of the SDP that you are not receiving over SAP, that might help.
