VLC 0.8.6h: No more TV after 10 seconds streaming.

Hi,
the TV stream stops after 10 seconds whatever the freebox TV channel on the iMac Intel 24" 3Ghz last generation and MacOSX 10.5.3.
Works fine with VLC 0.8.6f.

I confirm the problem and VLC does not display any error message.
The problem seems to relate to only RTSP streams and not MMS for example.

i confirm

under mac os x 10.4.11
after few second of treaming signal is cut !
and reapeat every 20 or 30 sec !

i had to reinstall the oldest version which works without problems.

Do you have an example stream for which this occurs?

All the streams of the Freebox have the problem, for example : rtsp://mafreebox.freebox.fr/freeboxtv/stream?id=201 for "France 2".
But you need a Freebox to test it.

where can i get an older version like 0.8.6g in DMG format ?

Tout pareil : au bout de 15 secondes j'ai un freeze de Nolife, et je dois « réouvrir la chaine ».
J'ai essayé de downgrader à la version 0.8.6f en effaçant les préférences, et VLC fonctionne.

Le problème apparait bien avec la version 0.8.6h.

idem (avec Freebox) OS 10.4.11 et vlc 8.6h, l'image s'arrête au bout de quelques secondes sans message d'erreur. vlc 8.6f que je viens de réinstaller (grâce à cette discussion) marche sans problème (sans arrêt donc).
Cette dernière version n'est donc pas utilisable pour le moment.

Après avoir manqué plusieurs enregistrements d'émissions à cause de ce problème, et après plusieurs suppressions des préférences et de multiples redémarrages... je viens de constater que la version 8.6f fonctionne parfaitement sur mon iMac Intel... et je découvre le sujet de ce forum !
Rassuré que je suis !... comme on dit en breton.

Ayant constaté que la version 8.6h est toujours en téléchargement, je pense qu'il serait sympathique de prévenir les autres "Macounets" ... qu'elle ne fonctionne pas !

Same problem for me using VLC 0.8.6h + Macbook Pro 2.5GHz running OS X 10.5.4

There was an error message: -extvlcopt It said to add this to the code/address???, which I tried but it didn't work. I am not getting this error code any more though, but still VLC Player stops after 30 seconds. Selecting the channel I was watching and hitting Return starts it again and it plays perfectly for another 30 secs then STOP.

I have tried installing both the Intel specific and the Universal version, both give the same result.

Le problème ne se produit plus dans la version 0.8.6i. Pour moi tout est bon.

Sur Mac Intel avec Mac OS X 10.4.11, VLC 0.8.6i et multiposte de Free = OK
Sur Mac PowerPC avec Mac OS X 10.4.11, VLC 0.8.6i et multiposte de Free = KO
(tests réalisés sur la même Freebox)

Donc pour moi, le problème introduit dans la version 0.8.6h est bien résolu dans la version 0.8.6i mais uniquement sur Mac Intel et pas sur PowerPC!!!

D'autres personnes peuvent confirmer ?
