Newbie VLC help...

Postby rosxrosx » 22 Jun 2008 05:11

I'm somewhat new to VLC on OSX and have a few questions:

1. I am connecting to a streaming multicast server to watch videos so I have to select "Open Network" and type in the IP address everytime. VLC doesn't seem to remember the IP address. What can I do to make this easier? I don't see a preference.

2. How do I force VLC to enable deinterlacing using "X" deinterlacer (or some other one) every time?

3. Also, what is the "X" deinterlacer? Is it greedy2frame? TomsMocComp (motion comparator)?

1/ You can set one stream in the preferences to start playing it each time.
2/ You can set it in the preferences.
3/ No idea.

Thanks. Where is the preference exactly for setting one stream to start playing each time?
